DESCRIPTION
- Each 5 ml contains Metronidazole Benzoate equivalent to Metronidazole 200mg- B.P.
INDICATIONS
- All forms of amoebiasis including intestinal / extra infesting amoebiasis, amoebic liver abscess & symptomless cyst passers, Symptomatic & asymptomatic trichomoniasis, Giardiasis, Intra – abdominal infection where anaerobic pathogens are involved, Gynecological infections tubo ovarian & pelvic abscess & post surgical vaginal cuff infection, Gingivitis
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
AMOEABIASIS
- Treatment to be taken for 7-10 days
Adults and children:
Over 10 years
- 2 teaspoonful thrice daily.
7 to 10 years :
- 1 teaspoonful thrice daily.
3 to 7 years :
- ½ teaspoon 4 times daily.
1 to 3 years :
- ½ teaspoon thrice daily.
UROGENITAL TRICHOMONIASIS, GIARDIASIS, ULCERATIVE GINGIVITIS:
- Treatment to be taken for 7 days.
Adults and children:
Over 10 years:
- 2 teaspoonful thrice daily.
7 to 10 years:
- ½ teaspoon thrice daily
3 to 7 years:
- ½ teaspoon twice daily.
1 to 3 years:
- ¼ teaspoon thrice daily.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
- Patients with a prior history of hypersensitivity to metronidazole or other metronidazole derivatives and during 1st trimester of pregnancy.
PRESENTATION
- Opozol is available in 60ml glass bottle with orange flavor.
