Skin & Soft tissues infections

• Caused by staphylococci & beta – haemolytic streptococci.

Urinary Tract infections :

• Prostatitis caused by E.Coli, P.mirabilis klebsiella species and enterobacter (S.faecalis)

Otitis media :

• Caused by Group A beta-haemolytic streptococci , S.pneumonia , H.influenza and staphylococci.

For Otitis Media:

• Due to H-influenza, daily doses from 75 to 100mg/kg administered in equally divided doses after 6 or 12 hours.
• The maximum dose should not exceed 4g/day in all patients regardless of age & weight.
• Doses up to 1g after every 6 hours may be given for severe or chronic infections.
